AE supplies architects, builders and building owners with products and information necessary to achieve high performance building objectives and criteria including Passive House, ZeroEnergy, RESNET/HERS, etc.\n\nOur passion is fueled not only by our children’s energy and environmental future, but also by the desire to provide home and building owners comfortable, healthy, durable, and highly energy efficient places to live, work and play.\n\nTodd’s background includes a bachelor’s in Computer Science and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Todd is also on the City of Golden CO’s Planning Commission, has been a Colorado Green Building Guild Board Memberandvolunteer, a volunteer for Colorado Renewable Energy Society and a participant in many other sustainability focused organizations.\n\nIn this presentation, Todd will focus on ventilation with a bonus interactive dialogue on high level HVAC strategies(with a couple case studies)for low load homes. As homes get tighter and tighter per code and for energy efficiencies objectives likePassive Haus (Passive House) and Zero Energy, mechanical ventilation is critical.No longer can we nor should we rely on “fresh” air coming in through all the holes and cracks in our envelopes. Houses should be air-tight and mechanical ventilation done right helps to ensure high Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for a healthy home.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
