DESCRIPTION:Community Rebuilds is a non-profit in Moab, Utah with the mission of building energy-efficient housing, providing education on sustainability, and improving the housing conditions of the workforce through an affordable program. Our vision was to create straw bale buildings because of their simplicity, beauty, and low-carbon impact. The main difficulties with this building typology are the labor intensity it demands and the lack of straw bale building expertise in the construction realm.
