SUMMARY:First Nation Hemp Development
DESCRIPTION:HempStone, LLC has been building with hempcrete since 2018, and we have been principally involved in the construction of seven New England homes, and have consulted on dozens of other hempcrete buildings throughout the US. Our clients include forward-thinking environmental activists and First Nations communities looking to develop sustainable housing and economic development programs for their communities.\nForward thinking communities such as the Lower Sioux of Minnesota are using hemp as an economic strategy to create vertically integrated hemp development projects at home – offering a new commodity product to local farmers while providing new and improved housing options for their people.\nHempStone and the Lower Sioux Community would like to share the presentation stage, presenting on the current state of hempcrete, complete with images of projects around the world, a portfolio of HempStone’s US work, and a look inside the planning and development of the vertically integrated plan by the Lower Sioux to help their community plan for the next seven generations.\n
