SUMMARY:2024 NaBA RENDEZVOUS
DESCRIPTION:Join us for 3 nights of camping next to Lake Dillon in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains!  Catch up with your natural building friends, partake in naturally-minded discussions and debates, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area.\nWe’ll be staying in the Forest Loop (south half) of Windy Point Campground, which is close to Keystone Resort and the town of Dillon, CO.  Please see the Recreation.gov link to the right for more information and rules about the campground.\nDue to limited parking spaces, registration for the event is PER VEHICLE,  and is limited to tents and smaller RVs only – sorry no full-size buses.  We’re asking for $30 per vehicle to help cover the cost of the campground.  There are no electrical or water hookups in the campground.  If you can’t make it for all 3 nights, that’s Ok!  If you don’t like camping, there are several nearby hotels to choose from!\nWhat’s included in registration:\n\nA camping spot for 3 nights.  No other passes or park admissions are needed.\n\nWhat’s NOT included:\nEverything else!  Please arrive fully prepared and stocked for a tent/van camping experience in a high alpine environment.  We will not be providing any meals, snacks, beverages, shelter, etc.  There is NO WATER or electricity at the site.  Water might be available at other nearby campgrounds, or otherwise in Dillon/Frisco.\nBrief list of things you should bring:\n\nFood, Water, etc. for 3 days (unless you want to spend your free time grocery shopping)\nAll shelter, clothing, and gear you need to stay comfortable.  Lake Dillon is at 9000 ft in elevation – nights can be COLD and afternoon thunderstorms are very common.\nIf you have an extra pop-up tent, this might come in very handy for staying dry (or shaded) during discussions.  If we have enough, we could join them together and cover a big group of people.\nAn open mind ready for creative thinking and friendly banter.\n\nWhat NOT to bring:\n\nFirewood.  Wood fires will only be allowed in the one firepit located in the center of the campsite.  We can purchase firewood locally as needed, as long as wildfire restrictions are not in place.\nAn offensive attitude or derogatory comments.  We’re a group of folks that can likely handle some friendly satire, but let’s keep it respectable.\n\nRough Plan:\nCheck In:  3:00 PM on Thursday, June 20.  Set up and meet as a group in the evening to review the program for the coming days, including creating semi-focused discussion topics for different time slots.  Feel free to email us some proposed topics!\nFriday and Saturday:\n\nFree time for breakfast and exploring\nMorning “session” from 10am – Noon\nFree time for lunch and whatever\nHappy Hour “session”\nBreak for dinner\nEvening “session” around the fire\n\nSunday June 23rd:  Vacate the campground by 12 noon.\nPlease email or call with any questions!\n\n
