In this presentation, Todd will focus on ventilation with a bonus interactive dialogue on high level HVAC strategies(with a couple case studies)for low load homes. As homes get tighter and tighter per code and for energy efficiencies objectives likePassive Haus (Passive House) and Zero Energy, mechanical ventilation is critical. No longer can we nor should we rely on “fresh” air coming in through all the holes and cracks in our envelopes. Houses should be air-tight and mechanical ventilation done right helps to ensure high Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for a healthy home.
