Finish Plaster Demonstration
Help us put on the final wild red clay finish coat of plaster on the exterior of the Community Rebuilds BunkHouse. The Bunkhouse is a 3600 sf two-story strawbale living quarters for the CR interns. The exterior of the building is an all earthen plaster. Learn Kaki and Doni’s tried and true method for making earthen plasters durable, fun and beautiful. We will discuss choosing wild clay, how we designed the recipe for the base layer, our favorite application method, and the creme de la creme: the beautiful wild red clay finish which we will have as our hands-on experience.
