In this presentation, members of the Community Rebuilds team will discuss the lengthy process
of converting the former intern bunkhouse into the first affordable living building-certified residences. This conversation will include the overview of the LBC certification criteria, our exhaustive materials salvage & reuse following the demolition of the bunkhouse, the current state of the performance period tracking, an anecdote about our recently completed art wall, a retrospective on the human resources necessary to complete the challenge of LBC certification, and the future impacts of LBC certification on housing in Moab and Utah at large.
