Carbon and Chemicals in Our Built Environment

The presentation starts with my personal story – dealing with toxic black mold – and then moves to the big picture on carbon and chemicals in our built environment, and then moves into projects that illustrate the three main techniques for building with hempcrete. I wrap up the presentation by opening up the conversation to other plant-based techniques and call for regionally appropriate plant-based projects as the new direction for Contemporary Architecture.
