Rachel Fixen

Rachel Fixsen was a Community Rebuilds intern in the spring of 2017. She loved working with a diverse group of passionate people and learning to use unconventional techniques and materials. After her internship, she worked for an owner/builder in Moab on a blended strawbale/double stick frame house, then went on to work for a general contractor using primarily conventional building methods. She now writes for a local weekly newspaper the Moab Sun News, and still works a few hours a week on construction projects.
